i keep a large box of letters/cards, etc that dig through every now and then. i'm glad you stumbled upon your own box of such memories. it's a wonderful thing.
I've not written a letter in ages. As a non-Christian, I don't send out Christmas cards (or any other cards). As a rude mofo, I don't send thank-you cards. It's a wonder anyone keeps me as their ingrate friend.
I suppose something is indeed lost in this age of computers. I type much faster than I write, and e-mail is just so handy.
Thank you for sharing your gift with us - sending us your love through your words in handwritten print. As a semi-frequent card writer, I enjoy this lost form, but even I have not written a 3-page letter in a long, long time. Bravo, I say!
Given that your last blog was hand written, I can only imagine that this blog is being telegraphed in. Hells bells Sable Crow. Your faithful readership awaits your thoughts.
What? No long and silly title below the signture line? That's not how I remember you closing a letter. ;) Love you and am very, very glad to have stumbled across your blog. I've missed our letters for years now. Jennifer Your Gun-Toting, freedom-loving, Okie cuz'n
"Good people, a handful of barley bestow,
On the child of Apollo, the sleek sable crow;
Or a trifle of wheat, O kind friends, give;--
Or a wee loaf of bread that the crow may live."
Neither monster nor sinner, I'm just a tax-paying homosexual working hard for his American dream, and speaking out until I have the same rights as my brother.

Your handwriting is beautiful!! I too favor the written word...I love to handwrite letters and thank you cards. To me it feels more personal. :)

I love this post. Feels so intimate. Like you are laying yourself bare.
I often think of my blog as love letters to all my friends, to my mother, to maybe even my unborn children and definitely to my future self...
